[R] need help building R on SGI

I could build R-1.5.0 without problems with the SGI compilers (and tcsh)
and readline from the standard SGI-freeware distribution:

setenv CC cc
setenv F77 f77
setenv CCC CC
setenv LDFLAGS '-L/usr/freeware/lib32 -rpath /usr/freeware/lib32'
setenv CPPFLAGS -I/usr/freeware/include
./configure 
make
