Hi Abdullah,
In case you are not aware, the IDE Rstudio was created by the company
RStudio, PBC (PBC = Public Benefit Corporation).
The company wanted to emphasize to the public that its target is to help
with data science projects more generally, and not just as a company
creating tools for R development.
RStudio, PBC changed its name to Posit, PBC. In addition to the IDE
RStudio, it now offers Positron, which facilitates development in multiple
languages, including R and Python.
Check out the following announcement by Posit where they describe
Positron: https://posit.co/blog/positron-product-announcement-aug-2025/
Best,
Eric
