[R] Scientific Numbers in Boxplot Label

You can use options(scipen=n) to control when numbers are printed
using scientific notation (the default value is 0).  Compare
 options(scipen=0); plot( 1e-17*(1:10), 1e5*(1:10))
 options(scipen=10); plot( 1e-17*(1:10), 1e5*(1:10))
 options(scipen=20); plot( 1e-17*(1:10), 1e5*(1:10))
