as.numeric(vec1[-grep("\\[",vec1)])
# [1] 18 18 17 14 17 13 13 18 13 16 16 14 12 19 15 21 13 17 10 13 18 14 17 13 13
#[26] 15 20 14 18 15 10 12 20 17 17 17
