[R] installing "gRain" package on ubuntu 8.10

Dear all

I am trying to install the "gRain" package on ubuntu 8.10,
running R Vers. 2.9. Unfortunately, I get a bad
Exit-Status. What could cause that problem?

Any help is appreciated.
