[R] How Can I Tell if the R Running is 64 bit or 32 bit?

Also (outside of R) type "uname -a". This should give something like

Linux viggo 2.6.18.8-0.10-default #1 SMP Wed Jun 4 15:46:34 UTC 2008

on a 64-bit system (SUSE in this case)

but
