[R] Generating list of vector coordinates

If the odometer order in your post is essential then 
you  could try this:

  expand.grid(1:5, 1:4, 1:3)[,3:1]

If R's reverse odometer order is ok then you could
simplify it to this:

  expand.grid(1:3, 1:4, 1:5)
