malloc.h can normally be replaced by stdlib.h on an ISO C system. That
file has

#include <stdio.h>
#ifndef Macintosh
#include <malloc.h>

and I believe that should be

#include <stdlib.h>
#include <stdio.h>

since the aim appears to be to have malloc() declared.
