... Hmm, this doesn't look quite right. Could it be that you need to
add -ltcl -ltk or so? (Where are your tcl/tk libraries anyway?). 

A bit odd that configure doesn't barf though. 

BTW, you might want to try 1.6.0beta, also to help us bugfix it before
releasing. Available from
