Indeed yes, it looks like a problem with your graphic card/driver. I also
installed rgl on w2k without problems, except on a computer that displayed
the same kind of error message. The driver for the S3 Savage/MX graphic card
was the origin of the problem that was solved by upgrading this driver to
the latest version. Do you have other programs that use OpenGl? In my case,
the error appeared also in Mathcad 2000 in 3D graphs and in Simply 3D 3,
whith OpenGl features enabled...

By the way, I would like to say that I really like rgl,... although there is
no possibility to save the graph in a vector format like postscript or
wmf/emf. Is it a limitation of OpenGl libraries?

Yes, ATI has historically provided pretty poor OpenGL support.
Sometimes it helps to go to their web site and download a new driver;
sometimes that just makes things worse.
