[R] PNG diver problem

Actually it doesn't work on Linux... The issue is that the x11 device
is not *loaded*, i.e. it is in the shared library startup code. That
could take a while to figure out how to override. However, there seems
to be nothing wrong with this:

R --vanilla < try.R > try.Rout

and try.R containing
