[R] slow startup (2)

Sorry for the previuos message: it was incomplete (I'm used to the emacs keys while under eudora Ctrl-E means: send...)

The ESS error is about "ess-loop-timeout" (I bypassed the problem increasing the value of the variable)

Any suggestion?
