[R] Customizing the R environment

Hi!

As a beginner, I've found hard to find
the information on customizing the R
environment. Finally, I've
found the info in section 10.8
of the R-intro guide. I suggest moving
this info as an individual
section before or after section 
"Invoking R" in the same guide. Also,
the information seems a bit outdated, as it
states that the basic Rprofile file 
would be:
"If that variable (R_PROFILE) is unset, file `Rprofile' in the R home
subdirectory `etc' is used.

At least in my installation (from rpm) R_PROFILE
is unset (even if inquirying from within R) and
the file Rprofile is in the directory /usr/local/lib/R/library/base/R/

There is another file, Renviron
in /usr/local/lib/R/etc, for which there is no
documentation.

Finally, I suggest including the advice of typing
?Rprofile from within R to get some more
information on customizing the R environment.
