Rrs,

According to the documentation written by Lang and Chambers,

1) "One can interactively invoke Java methods from R and pass objects to
these methods."

2) "the Java interface provides a mechanism for creating, managing and
identifying persistent objects in the foreign language (Java) from R."

Which briefly means to me, the documentation describes conversions of Java
into R, for use within R.

Is the reverse true, where R objects can be used within Java programs?

Is their any documentation available to support this?

My naive answer is no, which is based on reading of the R-Java/Omegahat
Interface which emphasizes the former conversion.

All replies thanked in advance,

steve
