[R] Re: akima core dumps on loading

Sorry for the previous post, I've hit the wrong key while cut and pasting.

I've submitted a bug report now with the gdb and strace outputs. Hope this
helps.

I've had the time to test it also under 1.0.0, and the problem remains the
same.
