This is about a workshop on inference and asymptotics,
to be held from 9-14 July 2000 at Ascona in the Italian-
speaking part of Switzerland. See

The meeting is organized by Anthony Davison (EPFL), Tom 
DiCiccio (Cornell) and Elvezio Ronchetti (Geneva). 
Its purpose is to bring together researchers and others 
interested in in aspects of inference for small samples, 
including but not confined to saddlepoint and related methods, 
robust approaches, and bootstrap and Markov chain Monte Carlo 
methods, and to discuss how these ideas should be used in 
applications.
