[R] BATCH processing in R

yes. Use getenv()
wompom% setenv R_INFILE foobar
R is a collaborative project with many contributors.
Type "?contributors" for a list.
Type "demo()" for some demos, "help()" for on-line help, or
"help.start()" for a HTML browser interface to help.
Type "q()" to quit R.

R_INFILE
"foobar"
> sink(getenv("R_INFILE"))
etc at least under Unix (which I presume is where you are if you want to
use a shell script)
