Not that I know of. For Windows, this is something that has been requested,
and it would certainly be possible to add an interface given enough
expertise and time (and we have neither). I know of no product under Linux
that can read Access databases, whose structure (like most database
systems) I believe to be proprietary.

Can you use Access itself or a Visual Basic front end to extract the data
you want into a table or tables that can be read by read.table? You will
need the data in that format to do anything with it in R.

R is a collaborative project and there may well be other readers of R-help
interested in contributing such interfaces. We would be delighted to hear
from you (such discussions being best on R-devel, I guess).
