The maintainer is Lyndon Drake, who is a computer science graduate
student here at Auckland.  Most work on R here goes on in the (southern)
summer break: Nov - Feb.

We do plan a much more complete Gnome interface.  This is being held
up by some lack of features in Gnome.  One major problem is that we
would like to use the anti-aliasing facilities of of Gnome graphics,
without the overhead of the Gnome Canvas.  My understanding is that
this requires more work on the Gnome printing model.

We would also like an interface to the Gnumeric spreadsheet.
