This is on my TODO list (help welcomed) but for the moment answer
is 'I am sorry, no.". You can use postscript, of course. But
the gif files and the image saved to the clipboard are just a
copy pixel by pixel of the screen picture. So, their resolution is
bounded to the one of the screen. Only suggestion is:
try to avoid to resize the saved images (make the R device
of the dimension you need BEFORE exporting).
