R-beta: windows()

Good morning/afternoon,

I am new in R and I have the following problem:
I am using Win95 version (from Rsept.zip); typing the command:
> windows()
closes the already opened graphic window.
After that, I am not able to open any new graphic window using this
command.
Is there something I am missing?
