R-beta: An R "birds of a feather" meeting at JSM in Dallas

Earlier I suggested a meeting of folks interested in R and who will be
attending the Joint Statistical Meetings in Dallas, TX, U.S.A.  It
would be a good time to talk about the software and the directions it
could take or even just to meet some of the people whom you see
corresponding on these groups.

I suggest we try to meet at the business meeting/mixer for the
Statistical Computing and Statistical Graphics sections on the evening
of Monday, Aug. 10.  The mixer part is usually quite informal.

Kurt Hornik expects to be there as do I but I may be a bit late
because of a committee meeting I must attend.  Just walk around
peering at name badges until you find one of us.  For those of you who
have looked at my web pages, don't expect me to look like the picture
on the motorcycle.
