[BioC] [maSigPro] Splitting data - how?

Dear List

I'd like to ask about splitting data in long
time series analysis. I want to split my seven-points data to
"dark" and "light" periods (3 and 4 time points respectively) and fit
low-degree polynomials to it.

From informations in manual (chapter 4.4) I can't figure out how
to perform this analysis. I only understand that I've to define
dummy variables.

Anybody knows details about such analysis?
