Hi, Dan.
What does:
class(matrixExample2) show?
What happens if you do:
matrixExample3 <- as.matrix(matrixExample2)
class(matrixExample3)
matrixExample3[,1]
class(matrixExample3[,1])
Finally, what is the output of sessionInfo()?
Sean
